Prior to working for Blue Mango Innovation, Doug worked for the technology consultancy Sagentia as VP Chemicals, Materials, Energy (NA).
Before this, Doug was the CTO of SGL Carbon where his main function was to set up an "innovation excellence" initiative.
Before joining SGL, Doug held a number of senior positions with Hitco Carbon Composites, US Polymeric and BP Advanced Materials
He has a 1st class honors degree in chemistry and a PhD in polymer chemistry both from the University of Manchester in the UK.
He was the founding editor of the journal “High Performance Polymers” (1988-1997) and editor and co-author of the book “Polyimides”. He is also a certified practitioner of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Indicator.
